Who is this wildman?

My great, great … great grandfather, Edward Wightman, is believed to be the last man in England to be burned alive for his religious beliefs.  (He was accused of being a Baptist, but most modern Baptists would contest that title).  Other ancestors were exiled from Massachusetts (Roger Williams), imprisoned for being Shakers, or hanged for being Quakers.

I am not at all fond of theocracies, of any and all stripes.   If you see this moniker in a discussion post, you may assume the worst with regard to my political opinions.
